Relaxation along the Blue Ridge Parkway
The wife and I spent the latter part of the day this Sunday enjoying the great music of Sunday Sounds at Chateau Morrisette Winery. The weather was a little dismal, but the large tent covering the pavilion did not stop the people from coming out. The parking lot was full and the line to purchase an ice cold bottle of wine to enjoy with the music and food was long. We brought along some different cheeses and fruit to enjoy for the day while we talked with several friends that had come up for the day as well. The band was an eclectic sort that played several different styles of music from Bluegrass to a little 50's era Rock and Roll. Several of the patrons brought along thier canine companions as company. The Chateau is well know for there affinity for the dogs and guests love that they are able to bring them along.
After the music we went to the town of Floyd to enjoy a wonderful meal at Oddfella's Cantina which had the most delicious steamed vege's we have eaten in quite some time. We traveled home noting that it looked almost like fall will be coming early this year.
Once home we prepared for the next day as well as got in some light reading before retiring. It had been a long weekend and we were ready for a good sleep.
