Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!!!!

Well not exactly the Lions and Tigers, but guests this morning while out strolling the property with their first cup of coffee were treated to a spectacular event. Just up the hill in the adjacent orchard of apple trees was a young bear apparently getting a head start on the winter having a few apples for breakfast. The wife and I went out with the guests to get a better look and hopefully some pictures. We did get a few pictures but did not have a telephoto lens to get in closer before the bear decided the show was over. We were not able to get the shot of him or her standing on hind legs reaching up to get a better apple from the tree but that was really spectacular. We have been here almost five years now and have heard bears at night but this is the first sighting. We hope there will be more.
