This has been an extraordinary year for weather. We have had Sleet, Ice, Torential rain, and of course off the chart snows. We have had the almost 16 inches of snow the week before Christmas and we just recently had another 10 to 12 inches fall. This weekend the first one in February we are expected to receive up to as much as 20 more inches. I can not speak for everyone else but I am so ready for Spring and better weather.
The great thing about the snow however is the picturesque views that seem to be more accentuated when there is snow on the surrounding mountains and piled up on everything. There is always a more peacefulness that surrounds you after a snowfall. and it really lets you appreciate the beauty of nature. Of course there is always sledding down our 1/4 mile driveway that makes for some real fun, especially when you have Dutchie chasing you the whole way biting the sled and running in front of you just having the time of her life.
I am sure Spring will spring soon and then Summer will be upon us and we will wish we had the cooler weather then, but I think we always seem to want what we don't have.
