The time is approaching and I can't say I am unhappy to see the harsh winter of 2009 / 2010 go away. Spring is what I am talking about of course. This area just blossoms with multiple colors in the spring and summer and there is hardly anywhere more beautiful than along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just driving along and stopping at many of the overlooks you will spot Fire Azalea, Iris, crocus, tiger lily's, trillium, and many many more varieties. Spring along the parkway and in Patrick and Floyd counties are just as magnificent as the fall. Come spend a little time and relax and stop and smell the flowers.
