Dutchies View has a new attraction. It has been a long time in coming but we finally added the much needed gas log fireplace and antique mantel that we have been wanting since we opened. Crystal and I located a wonderfully old mantel in a shop. You had to look past the chipping peeling paint and the grubbiness, however that was not a problem. We ran into a great bargain on the gas log insert and log set. We put these items together, cut out one wall and put everything back together. We were even able to use the fireplace this past weekend with the early morning chills. What a great addition to the Inn, we almost wish winter was still here so we could have more use out of the fire, however I am sure we will have ample time to use it next winter.
