Dutchies View Bed and Breakfast a Blue Ridge Mountains destination has great news. Over the past six months the local park right here in Woolwine I.C. DeHart has added 8 miles of multi-use trails for Mountain Biking, hiking, and trail running, sorry no equestrians or motorized vehicles. A few local Patrick County residents have come together to put into the park some wonderful trail to be enjoyed by many people including those looking for nature, exercise, or just a place to go and unwind. Over 75% of the trail is single lane trail with some trail being reclaimed from old logging roads from many years passed. The trail will soon be completely signed and maps produced and a kiosk installed that will complete the project for this year. People from all over are already enjoying this wonderful system. The trails are not flat and recommended for the intermediate mountain biker and above, hikers with some experience and condition will enjoy the workout, and trail runners will have quite a workout. The trail has been made to look as natural as possible to include bridges using local rough cut lumber and downed trees, trail that flows with the contour of the land, and as little disturbance to the land as possible.
